Day in the Life: Luca, Analyst, Credit Solutions

Your journey at Aluna Partners

I joined Aluna as an analyst in September 2025, soon after finishing my master’s degree. I took on the role of supporting a Senior Analyst in the development of a Trade Receivables project. Since then, my day-to-day can be very different: some days I’m assessing the creditworthiness of companies using our internal risk models, while others I’m preparing presentations for stakeholders, analysing books of receivables, or joining client meetings. Every day brings something new, and I’m constantly learning more about credit risk and trade receivables.

Your current role and responsibilities

I am currently responsible for assessing new potential clients for the project, analysing their receivables book, and evaluating their overall creditworthiness. I also support the preparation of materials and insights that help guide decision-making. With the project approaching launch, the priority is to reinforce its framework to guarantee a successful entry into the market. My contribution focuses on identifying potential clients for the project and supporting the partner with any needs that arise throughout the development process

What is your favourite part of your role? What are some of the top skills have you been able to develop at the firm?

My favourite part of the job is engaging with clients and learning from their experience. These interactions give me valuable insight into different business models and how companies manage their credit and financing needs. I have strengthened my analytical skills significantly through credit assessments and financial analysis. I’ve also developed greater quantitative capabilities by working hands-on with internal risk models. Additionally, regular interaction with clients has improved my communication skills and my ability to build strong professional relationships.

What makes working at the firm special?

Even as a junior, you’re trusted to take ownership of meaningful tasks that truly impact the project, which pushes you to develop quickly and think independently. There is a real emphasis on learning by doing, you’re constantly encouraged to ask questions, challenge your thinking, and expand your understanding of credit risk and financing. This combination of responsibility, trust, and continuous learning creates a working environment where growth is fast, motivation stays high, and every day feels like genuine progress.
